Oki experienced a relatively quiet period in terms of innovation during the time period between 1907 and the end of the Second World War. The company underwent a series of re-organisations in response to the continued rapid growth of the telecommunications industry (particularly resulting from the telephone expansion plans and in response to war-related demands), and several name changes and relocations were implemented to accommodate the company's prevailing expansion.
