Dont go through the hassle of scanning, saving, composing, attaching and sending.  Just scan and send. 

1) Turn the scanner on

The scanner has a seperate power switch, located at the backof the product. Make sure the both the printer and scanner are powered on.

2) Place your document in the scanner

You can place the page or pages in either the top feeder face up or the flatbed scanner face down. The ADF scanner will automaticlly detect if there is anything in the feeder so make sure that this is empty if you want to scan using the flatbed

3)Switch to 'Send' mode

On the control pannel on your mfp check that the mode is in 'Send'. It will be illuminated blue to indicate if it is. If it is not, press the 'Send' button. It will take 5-10 seconds to warm up

4) Enter the email address
Using the keyboard on the control panel enter the email address of the person whom you wish to send your scanned document and press Ok, or select an address from the address book.
Tip: The keyboard is structured like a phone keypad so the typing action will be similar to the action of text messaging on a mobile phone

5) Enter the subject of your email
This will appear in the subject field of the receivers in box

6) Send
You can choose to adjust a series of following options such as brightness, contrast, number of copies etc. If you do not wish to enter anymore options press 'mono' or 'colour' to send your document

When your document has finished scanning and sending the display will go back to saying 'to:' and 'Subject:' ready for you to send your next document
