Long edge, Short edge?

Why long edge? Why short edge? What's the difference?
Printing Long or Short edge is simple yet effective and makes all the difference to the presentation of your document. For example a spreadsheet would look better when printed in a landscape view and you can preview how it would look before printing using the print preview option available in popular programs such as Microsoft Excel.
1) From with your Microsoft application go to File -Print preview
2) Click on Setup -Landscape -Ok You will now be shown a preview of your document in a landscape view. To close this preview and return to your original document press Close
3) To print in Landscape or portrait go to File -Print -select your printer and then click on Properties
4) Click the Job Options tab (Fig 1)
5) In the Orientation section select Landscape
6) Select Ok -then Ok again to print
