Loading the paper

A quick guide on correctly loading the paper with minimum paper jams

Before your fax machine will be ready to make copies or receive faxes, you must load paper into the machine. Use
the following paper size: A4, 210 × 297 millimetres. Your fax machine works with normal copier paper and with
typewriter paper (60 to 90 g/m2).

Tip: You do not need to turn off your product when loading the paper. However please ensure that it is not in the process of printing.

1. Standing in front of your OKIFAX, press firmly on either side of the paper tray (Fig 1), and pull towards you (Fig 2).

2. Separate the paper sheets by fanning them and align them by softly tapping the edge of the stack on a flat surface. This will greatly reduce the possibility of paper jams.

3. Remove the cover from the paper tray. Put in only as much paper as will fit under the raised limit markers on the upper edge of the paper tray (see also the drawings on the cover of the paper tray). You can load up to 250 sheets into the paper tray.

Tip: If you would like to print on stationary such as headed paper, place the input sheet face down in the paper tray, with the top of the page toward the rear.

4. Press the paper down until the lever snaps into place at the rear of the paper tray.

5. Place the cover back on the paper tray. Push the paper tray into the fax machine all the way to the stopping point.
